Maine is an absolutely magnificent place to be. Today I went to Culbertson Farm to pick up eggs and chicken to serve to guests at the Kismet Inn Bed and Breakfast spa. The chicken are free to raom acres of grass land where they find warms to feed on as well as grass and the organic flax seed and other feeds. The chickens are stress free with shiny feathers, eyes and very curious. Their eggs are indeed the best eggs I have had since my childhood where we would get the eggs from our village. The egg shells come in different colors, green, white, brown and even light purple. I absolutely love their eggs.
I also got some chicken to cook for the guests, they look so clean and white. You should come the Kismet Inn bed and breakfast spa to treat yourself even if it is just for the eggs and the chicken!

We’ve now come to the end of the 2009 season, and will shortly withdraw to the main house while we close down the ‘Ship’s Carpenters’ Quarters’ and the barn apartment for the winter. We will still take selected bookings for the Hill and Minott rooms, but availability will depend on our own movements, because we’re planning to spend some time in the UK and hopefully somewhere a little warmer as well…
It’s been a really happy and rewarding season for Kismet Inn Bed and Breakfast, Spa, having met so many interesting, pleasant and amusing people. You’ve come from all over the States, Texas, Indiana, North and South California, New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts, Arizona, Vermont, Illinois, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Michigan, North Carolina, Iowa, Washington, – as well as locals, Portland, Bath. I have also had visitors from Italy, Switzerland, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, England, Scotland and altogether it’s been a truly wonderful and international experience. Thank you all so much for staying at the Kismet Inn Bed and Breakfast and you’ll always be welcome to visit again whenever you’re able to.

Lois said, she loves the smell of the towels, the sheets, they smells of fresh air, she said. I told her I dry everything outside, in the fresh air. Here are my kitchen towels on clothes line! So at the Kismet Inn Bed and Breakfast, all the washing is always line dried.
