Bathing is an important ritual at Kismet Inn Bed and Breakfast Spa. The Inn’s soaking tubs are custom made using handmade tiles creating a genuine Old World feel. In the Old World bathing is for cleansing the soul. It is about family and community, the washing of each other’s backs before bathing; about time to be alone and contemplative. The idea of taking time and care with one’s bath in the Old World, is as important as taking time and care with the cooking and serving of dinner. It is a ritual – a prescribed order of rinsing, washing, and soaking that is passed down from one generation to the next, becoming an integral part of the society at large. The soaking tubs are designed by Shadi for the purpose of performing the Old World Body Exfoliation as well as Bathing Japanese Style. The tubs simulate Deep Soaking Japanese Tubs, Turkish Hammams and Roman Baths.
