Sliced Pear

I am always trying to come up with different ideas for breakfast specially since I have taken an oath in not making pancakes and muffins.  I find pancakes and muffins very generic and common, it is made in practically all the lodgings from small two to three bedroom to big hotels and resorts.  My guests often say, they get tired of eating pancakes and muffins and often long to have something different.  Of course there are some who want pancakes and muffins no matter what.  I bought cumembert like cheese from Hahn's End at Bath Farmers Market a week ago and I had pears that had become quite ripe so I decided to make breakfast with the pear and the cheese.  I made two different kinds.  Both times I sliced the pear into think slices, put them in a small pan, put a few cranberries from the teapot that I had been making spice tea with cranberries, then put the lid on and let the pear juice a little.  Made a sandwich with two slices of multi-grain from Borealis Breads by spreading the cheese on the toast, layering it with the warm pear then sprinkled it with cinnamon.  The second time after putting the sliced pear in the pan, topped it with the cheese and cranberries, put the lid on and let it simmer for a few minutes.  The taste was great, a mixture of pear sweetness mixed with the cheese was indeed delightful as my guests said.
