Kismet Inn Bed and Breakfast Spa has five guest rooms each designed and decorated to create an ideal setting for peaceful meditation and relaxation as you enjoy the best of both worlds; an extraordinary setting combining the warmth and hospitality of the Old World with the indulgent luxury of an ensuite steam or deep soaking tub. The soaking tub is Japanese style deep soaking tub made with tile that also resembles Turkish Hammam. The steam units have spray jets with pebble rock floors that massage your feet. Pleasant to walk on the radiant heat during cold season and wonderful during the warm season because the tiles feel cool during hot summer days. We invite you to tour the guest rooms. As you will see, the emphasis is on individual elegance and grace. Each of our five very individual guest rooms has a special ambiance and charm all its own, offering the opportunity of five quite unique experiences. No matter which room ou choose, every detail has been attended to in order to provide the ultimate in beauty and comfort for a truly memorable, relaxing stay. Each room has been designed as a simple remedy for stress, providing a serene, embracing environment ideal for releasing your cares and rejuvenating your body and mind. Down comforters, handmade quilt bedspreads and textiles from world have been used to make up each of the hand-crafted beds, fitted with extraordinarily comfortable mattresses and pillows. High quality Persian/Tabriz and Gabeh carpets, antique lace and international fabric handicrafts feature in the decor of every guest room. In the ensuite bathrooms, the natural beauty of pebble rock is complimented by beautiful turquoise tiling and radiant heat floors and steam shower rooms or custom made Japanese style Turkish Hamam and shower. Throughout, transom windows ensure that you can enjoy the fresh Maine air whenever you like, but only if you choose to do so. What you will not find in our guest rooms or common areas are televisions nd radios. Kismet Inn has been designed as a place of tranquility, where you can take a break from outside cares and distractions. If the need arises, you are welcome to use our Wi-Fi access with your own computer.

Welcome to Kismet Inn Bed and Breakfast in Bath, Midcoast Maine. Although, Kismet Inn is the youngest of the Bed and Breakfasts in the area it is rated as number one on www.tripadvisor.com among eight Bed and Breakfasts in the area. Located in the idyllic historic town of Bath, Maine across from the fountain of the ‘Spirit of the Sea’ only one block from wonderful antique shops, boutiques, Renys and great restaurants. In fact, being in Bath is being in the real old times of America because there are no chain stores in Bath, many neighboring towns come to Bath to do their Christmas shopping here.
A defining characteristic of the Kismet Inn Bed and Breakfast is its quietude and relaxed atmosphere where guests feel totally at home with absolutely no regimentation. There is never a sense of rush at the inn. Shadi Towfighi, the owner and your InnKeeper believes in slow life and slow food. During warmer months breakfast is served on the screen porch facing the fountain of ‘The Spirit of the Sea’ with beautiful gardens surrounding the inn. Sometimes even in August it gets rather chilly in the morning so we close the windows of the screened porch to let our guests enjoy their breakfast in complete comfort. Breakfast is served whenever the guests request, we only need to know a time the night before so breakfast is prepared for each individual guest warm and fresh. There is not a specific time to check in or to depart however, we do appreciate arrivals before 9 so you can settle in and start your relaxation. If the room is not booked for the night of the day you are departing your do not have to leave early.
Bath is a quaint, New England Town that is uncrowded. It is home to the Maine Maritime Museum and Hyde School. Bath is 36 miles northeast of Portland, 10 miles from Brunswick and Bowdoin College and 20 miles from Freeport and L.L.Bean. Bath is on Kennebec River which can be seen from the Kismet Inn Bed and Breakfast, it is close to two ocean beaches: Reid State Park, a park with cliffs and rocks to walk over, Popham Beach State Park which has been rated as one of the most beautiful beaches. It has 6 miles of sandy beach where sea lions greet you by Fort Popham if you take an early morning walk. Sequin Island is also close, it stands majestically at mouth of Kennebec river. At 186 feet above sea level, the island hosts the highest focal point of a light in Maine. It is Maine’s second Oldest light house and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
